Mariposa Park gets a revamp
The city of Mountain View recently completed resurfacing the playground area at Mariposa Park.
The rubber surface under the playground mimics the wing of a Monarch butterfly. According to the city, sun and usage had faded and deteriorated the original rubber surface.
The resurfacing project cost roughly $75,000 and came from the city’s annual parks renovation capital improvement program, city spokesperson Brian Babcock said.
Mariposa Park is located at 305 Mariposa Ave.
