A shooting in Mountain View early Friday left one person injured and two people detained in connection to the incident, according to the Mountain View Police Department.

Dispatchers received a 911 call just before 6 a.m. at the 400 block of North Rengstorff Avenue on April 5, reporting a residential disturbance involving several people and a gunshot being fired, according to a police statement.

Officers did not find any gunshot victims in the home. Soon afterwards, a person arrived at El Camino Hospital with a non-threatening gunshot injury to his lower extremities. The victim is expected to survive, police said.

Officers went to the hospital and subsequently detained two people associated with the victim. A firearm was located inside their vehicle, police said.

No charges have been filed against any person involved in the incident and it is unknown if charges will be filed, according to the statement. There also is no outstanding threat to the general public, police said.
