A power boat and other equipment worth about $5,000 was stolen from Shoreline lake in Mountain View over the weekend, according to the Mountain View Police Department.

Police responded to a report of a theft outside the Shoreline Lake Boathouse, located at 3160 N. Shoreline Blvd., on Sunday, July 21. The business said that a power boat, an inflatable Zodiac Cadet Rb 290, had been stolen sometime between Saturday and Sunday. An outboard boat engine and a marine battery also were taken, according to police.

The estimated value of the boat was $2,400, the engine $2,000 and the battery $300, police said.

The boat and equipment were left out in the open and not in a building. There was no video surveillance in the area and police do not have any leads on suspects at this time. The case has been referred to detectives for further investigation, police said.
