Eighth graders at Mountain View’s public middle schools are officially headed to high school, with Graham and Crittenden celebrating graduation on Friday, May 31.
The two middle schools held graduation ceremonies on Friday morning, with Mountain View Whisman Superintendent Ayindé Rudolph and school board members on hand to give students their certificates.
The principal and several students spoke at each ceremony, and both included a musical presentation by school choirs, district spokesperson Shelly Hausman said.
Crittenden’s class of 2024 was about 190 students, while Graham’s was roughly 290, Hausman said.
Summer vacation is officially underway for Mountain View Whisman’s elementary and middle schoolers. The district will welcome students back for the first day of school on Tuesday, Aug. 13.
At the high school level, the school year isn’t quite finished. Mountain View and Los Altos high school seniors will celebrate graduation on Thursday, June 6.
