The Bay Area will experience another, brief interlude of light rain Monday evening and into Tuesday before a warm, dry weather pattern arrives Tuesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
The highest rainfall totals are expected in the North Bay, where up to half an inch could fall in some areas.
As the rain tapers off, a high-pressure system is expected to move across the West Coast from the Pacific Ocean, ushering in seasonably warm temperatures for the next week and a half.
Starting later this week and early next week, temperatures are forecast to top out from the high to mid 60s to the mid 70s across much of the Bay Area.
As temperatures warm up, wind speeds will also increase, with north/northeast gusts peaking from between 40 mph to 50 mph at higher elevations overnight Wednesday and into Thursday morning, according to the Weather Service.
